Saving Lives
Lincoln Park Academy baseball player Christian Medina was killed in a car accident on his way to school in 2013. Due to being a registered organ donor, he saved many lives.
St. Lucie County Tax Collector Chris Craft and Donate Life Florida dedicated Christian’s Tree of Life on February 12, 2014 in honor of his memory. When someone becomes a registered organ donor, he or she can place their name on the tree.
Since the tree was first displayed on the Fort Pierce office’s wall, the St. Lucie County driver license organ donor designation rate has risen to 54% - one of the best in the state.
