Local homeowners who wish to pay their 2020 taxes without any risk of being exposed to COVID-19 are being encouraged to utilize the St. Lucie County Tax Collector’s Office online payment option beginning Sunday, November 1, 2020. Payments can be made by going to www.tcslc.com and clicking on “pay online” then choosing “pay real estate and personal property.” There is no fee for online payments that are made using the “e-check” option (third-party fees do apply to payments made with credit cards).
Residents who cannot or do not wish to make their tax payment online have the option of mailing in their payment to P.O. Box 308, Fort Pierce, FL 34954. Payments can also be made via drop box at all three office locations. Those needing to pay cash can come into any of the three office locations beginning Monday, November 2 without an appointment and utilize the Express Tax Payment Line. (All other transactions will require an appointment.)
“Our goal throughout the pandemic has been to keep both our staff and customers safe,” explained St. Lucie County Tax Collector, Chris Craft. “By encouraging the use of our online payment system and instituting the express line and drop box payment options, we are minimizing the amount of traffic going in and out of our lobbies, thereby reducing the risk of an unwanted COVID-19 outbreak at any of our locations.”
